In 2006 Medici Systems re-designed and upgraded the Hotel on Rivington's entire back office LAN. This entailed a number of critical hardware and software upgrades, the configuration and implementation of a business grade Firewall, acquisition and configuration of a 5 tape automated backup system, multiple server upgrades and the migration of the hotel's 40 employee email system to the internal and newly secured network.

Additionally, the Opera PMS system was fully upgraded and the internal LAN was separated from the public Wi-Fi network to enhance internal security for the hotel's administrative functions.
