In 2002 Medici Systems designed and implemented a powerful web-based PGSQL database and custom administrative application which has enabled SAI's three remote offices to securely access and manage their business critical data and publish dynamic course schedule data directly to their four websites from anywhere in the world within a 128-bit secure environment.

The database streamlines the processing of all administrative tasks associated with admitting and managing over 2000 applicants annually to myriad academic programs in Italy. It also centralizes and standardizes SAI's procedures regarding the management of all academic courses and schedules, all available housing inventory and housing assignments to students, all financial transactions and reporting, correspondence with students and numerous other activities critical to managing their constituents who are enrolled at four universities in Italy.

This has led to a dramatic increase in productivity, fewer data entry errors, eliminated manual HTML publishing of course schedules and allows clear and immediate financial snapshots through comprehensive reporting with a few simple keystrokes -- all of which make SAI's operations more efficient allowing them to focus on their business and less on administrative tasks.
